Clarios Delkor® Battery Achieves First Place in the '2026 Korean Standard Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI)' for Automotive Batteries for 21 Consecutive Years

Clarios Delkor® batteries have been ranked first in the automotive battery category of the '2026 Korean Standard Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI)' for the 21st consecutive year. The Korean Standard Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) is one of Korea’s most prestigious quality satisfaction indices, reflecting both customer experiences and expert evaluations. It is organised by the Korean Standards Association (KSA) and supported by the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) and the Korean Society for Quality Management (KSQM).

Delkor, an endorsed brand of Clarios – a global leader in advanced, low-voltage battery technologies for mobility – supplies high-quality automotive batteries, backed by advanced technology, cutting-edge manufacturing processes, continuous research and development, and strict quality control throughout each production stage.

The Delkor AGM battery supports start-stop technology, an innovative feature adopted by many automakers to improve fuel efficiency, providing significantly enhanced power to meet increased electrical demands. It is designed for long-lasting performance, with a battery life up to three times longer than conventional batteries. It ensures reliable operation through rapid charging and discharging during peak power demands.

Clarios, a global leader in advanced low-voltage battery technology, owns global brands including Delkor, VARTA and OPTIMA. Clarios batteries and smart solutions power nearly every type of vehicle and are found in one of three vehicles on the road today, bringing reliability, safety and comfort to everyday lives. With approximately 18,000 employees across more than 100 countries, Clarios provides deep expertise to aftermarket and OEM partners. Sustainability is a core principle of Clarios’ operations, and the company continues to set environmental standards across the industry. Clarios is working to ensure that 100% of its sold products can be recycled. Within Clarios’ closed-loop system, nearly 8,000 batteries are recycled per hour.

In recognition of these efforts, Clarios was named one of the '2026 World’s Most Ethical Companies' by Ethisphere for the fourth consecutive year. This award is a prestigious recognition that evaluates ethics and accountability amongst companies worldwide, comprehensively assessing approximately 240 criteria including ethics and compliance, governance, organisational culture, environmental and social responsibility, and ethical practices within the value chain. In 2026, only 136 companies worldwide received the recognition, with just seven companies included from the automotive industry sector.

“We sincerely thank our customers for their continued trust in Delkor batteries over the past 21 years,” said SJ Won, VPGM, North Asia & ANZ. “As the battery brand customers trust and turn to first, we will continue to deliver dependable quality that gives drivers peace of mind in any driving environment.”
